Culture of debt followup #2

If I have my information correct, there are ways that school loans can be waived by serving in the Peace Corps.  Interesting, isn't it?  Kind of like blackmail.  First, you hook a person.  You find out something about them that only you can clear, and you hold that over them until they do what they wish.  At the point where the government gives special ways of waiving school debt, and students are convinced they must have higher degrees, we'll have an interesting situation, now won't we?  On the face it won't be compulsory, but if the only realistic way to pay off gargantuan student debt is to serve in a government-mandated capacity (military or Peace Corps), it is compulsory.
