Racial Profiling

Racial profiling is alive and well on university campuses.  Take, for example, the survey below.  If I don't fill it out the first time I encounter it (which of course I won't), it will continue popping up until I do.  Is this racial profiling or what?  And if the method to collect this isn't unavoidable, it certainly is annoying!  (Note: the selections shown below were the ones the page auto-filled with).

Update Ethnicity and Race

Recently the U.S. Department of Education revised its definitions of racial and ethnic classifications and modified the standards for reporting. Please complete the short verification form below. The information displayed was converted from the old definitions to the new standards. Instructions: First, identify whether or not your ethnicity is Hispanic or Latino. Then select one or more races by checking the appropriate boxes. Note: If you do not submit a response in your current session, this form will be presented to you EVERY time you log into Web Self-Service until September 3, 2010.
